- Have a work-life balance so as to undertake self-paced study and have access to internet, email and social media
- Have the Foundation Skills described such as language, literacy, numeracy and employment skills that are essential to performance
Applicants must have completed All core units in BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units which have been mapped as equivalent:
- BSBWHS402 Assist with compliance with WHS laws
- BSBWHS403 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
- BSBWHS404 Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
- BSBWHS405 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
- BSBWHS406 Assist with responding to incidents
IMPORTANT: If the candidate already holds a Certificate IV in OHS/WHS, they are required to provide a certified (attested) copy of their statement of results upon enrolment.
If the candidate does not have a Certificate IV in OHS/WHS requirement, but has vocational experience in the OHS/WHS sector can apply for the ‘recognition of the Certificate IV in WHS core units’ and provide the relevant evidence to support their application for recognition
