The program is delivered over a series of workshops and self – paced to cover theory and coaching sessions addressing industry contexts.

• 10 workshops x 8 hours (per work shop) face to face training in class
• Four (4) hours training provided by the trainer and assessor, delivered via Team Viewer
• Two (2) hours support provided by the trainer and assessor to address questions. Managed via Team Viewer, Skype, Email; subject to the needs of the student
• Two (2) hours autonomous:
  • Study, research and complete the Case Scenario Assessments.
  • Study and prepare for the Underpinning Knowledge Assessment
• Students are encouraged to research and study beyond the minimum sixteen (16) hours per week

• Be 18 years or older
• Complete Pre-course evaluation
• Have a work-life balance so as to undertake self-paced study and have access to internet, email and social media
• Have the Foundation Skills described such as language, literacy, numeracy and employment skills that are essential to performance

Applicants must have completed All core units in BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units which have been mapped as equivalent:

• BSBWHS402 Assist with compliance with WHS laws
• BSBWHS403 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
• BSBWHS404 Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
• BSBWHS405 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
• BSBWHS406 Assist with responding to incidents

IMPORTANT: If the candidate already holds a Certificate IV in OHS/WHS, they are required to provide a certified (attested) copy of their statement of results upon enrolment.

If the candidate does not have a Certificate IV in OHS/WHS requirement, but has vocational experience in the OHS/WHS sector can apply for the ‘recognition of the Certificate IV in WHS core units’ and provide the relevant evidence to support their application for recognition

On successful completion of the enrolment process, students will undergo an induction program including:

• Introduction to Australian Institute of Leadership and Safety training staff
• Confirmation of the course being delivered
• The training and assessment procedures including method, format and purpose of assessment
• Qualifications to be issues
• Student handbook provided

• Assessment is competency based
• The student’s performance is assessed on satisfactory completion of the required online test and face-to-face workshops assessment activities

• If you wish to become a registered third-party, or external Quality, OHS, or Integrated Management Systems auditor with Exemplar Global, completing this course is the first step. Once you have obtained the Exemplar Global competencies from this course, you can follow either a qualification-based, or competency-based certification path.
